At Rijstal Le Cheval we organize activities for children of all ages. Children aged 12 and older who already have sufficient experience with horse riding can join one of our advanced group rides. Children aged 12 and over who are beginners or less experienced, may take part in a private trail ride. Younger children can go on a private trail ride (from 8 years old), provided they already have some experience with horse riding. More information about our trail rides can be found here!
Pony afternoons
Are your children 6 years or older, and completely crazy about horses and ponies? Then joining one of our pony afternoons is highly recommended! Experience is not required.
Walking ponies and guided walking pony rides
For children of all ages, you have the option to book a walking pony with us. Do you find guiding the pony a bit scary, or are you looking for a bit more of a challenge? Children aged 6 and older can also join one of our guided walking pony rides, where they go out in a group through the dunes and over the beach!
Introduction to ponies
Especially for the little ones, or for children who are riding a pony for the first time, you can book an introduction to ponies with us. This is an accessible activity for children who want to brush, cuddle and braid for fifteen minutes, and then ride a pony for fifteen minutes in the arena or in the dunes behind our stable, where you guide the pony yourself.
Riding lessons
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to offer riding lessons due to circumstances. We are working on making this possible again on a small scale as soon as possible. We do not yet know when that will be the case, so keep an eye on our website!
